Yes, PSI pays for the $3600 gap - doughnut hole - in Medicare/Senior Advantage/HMO support plus the regular co-pay amount for Gleevec. They pay for CML patients and patients with other chronic/life threatening diseases. They do have income qualifications but they are pretty liberal since I was approved. Their ONE BIG stipulation is that they can pay subject to the availability of funds and I don't know what their funding source is. I have already received almost $3000 from them for this year... I do not claim my regular co-payment amounts... just the big gap amount... to make as many funds available for others as I can.
They have been very helpful and friendly to me and they quickly processed my application and claim once they received all of the necessary paper work. They also fielded all of my panic calls with calm reassurance and tons of empathy.
