Sasha, My husband has been on 800 mg for about 2 1/2 years. His side effects were worst the first three months he took it. Now he gets a few muscles cramps every week, has diarrhea (controlled with imodium) every week, has very fragile skin, gets sunburned very easily, has lost all the hair on his arms and legs (but not his head, he still has a full head of hair), has puffy eyes and retains fluid (controls with lasix) and is anemic (takes aranesp shots to boost his hemoglobin). Although he has these side effects, he generally tolerates 800mg pretty well. He continues to play tennis 2 to 3 times a week, goes to the gym, works a full schedule and generally does all the things he wants to do. We travelled to Egypt for 2 weeks in February and he was fine. Hope you tolerate 800 mg well, but don't be surprised if the 800 mg hits you hard in the beginning. Good luck,
