Hi everyone-
I just read a fabulous book called My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Piccoult.
It is a book about a family that genetically harvests their 3rd child to save child number 2 from APL- a form of AML. And this child is suing her parents for medical emancipation- she is tired of being "used." It is fiction, but all the medical stuff is true.
Some of you may find it too difficult to read, I thought I would. With much concern for my well-being, I began reading the book and found that I identified with many characters, not just the Leukemia character-
It is a fabulous read- I highly recommend it.
