It is a little expensive but not as much as Procrit or Eprex! My insurance does pay for 80% of it. One vial with 300 mcg/ml in it is $203.47 at my pharmacy. While on Gleevec, I used one vial per shot as needed. Now on Dasatinib, I use half a vial per shot as needed. Neupogen doesn't help platelets. Though I was able to boost my ANC to stay on the drug, sometimes I would then have to stop due to platelets. It can be frustrating but eventually your counts will likely level out and/or with the help of your doc you will find a workable, effective dose for you.
