Your experience is probably more typical than atypical. My experience is similar to yours. I am hoping to change from Gleevec to dasatinib as soon as it becomes available, probably this coming June. The anecdotal evidence strongly suggests that dasatinib is just as effective as Gleevec (even more effective for most mutations), and the that its side effects are typically much less severe. I suggest you talk to your Dr. about this ASAP.
