Most FISH testing includes looking at approximately 200 cells.  The
leukemic (BCR-ABL) cells are highlighted or stained, and are counted.
If Jim is 8% positive, they found approximately 16 out of the 200 cells
examined had the BCR-ABL translocations.  If the prior FISH tests were
negative or close to it, I would discuss possibly increasing the
Gleevec dosage with the oncologist.
