Hi Mike, My husband's platelet counts have always been normal yet he bruises easily. So, it is due to the fragile skin and not because of low platelet counts. Gleevec inhibits C-kit so this has some effect on the skin. I will be looking into the other remedies suggested by CMLers on this thread for skin problems. Roy has not used anything on his skin, yet, just keeps on putting bandaids.
