Hi Amit, I am sorry that your Dad is in blast crisis. Low counts are common in blast crisis. 600mg is the standard dose in blast crisis. However, updated trial results have shown that remissions if achieved with any dose of Gleevec is not sustained well in blast crisis. Singapore still has the AMN107 trial open, 3 Indian patients are joining the trial in the next few weeks. AMN107 is a stronger drug than Gleevec and it is in Phase II trials. One of these patients coming is from AIIMS. Discuss with your doctor this trial and see if it is a possibility for your Dad. If you are interested, write to me, privately, and I will connect you to the Principal Investigator of the trial who is also my husband's doctor.
