Thanks, I have no choice but to make it through this, because I do have my son Nick to now try and keep on a decent path in life. He is 12 and is has been having issues that could lead him down the wrong path.
David it is funny you mentioned about how it would be if it were not for the internet, and I had to drive to an in person support group. I have had people in the past try and get me to go to them, and have decided that would not be the best thing in the world for me to do. I had a DUI when I was in my 20's, and had to go to AA as part of my punishment, and trust me that totally turned me off of things like that. Don't get me wrong I am not downing AA, it is just stuff like that is not for me. I am not trying to throw a pity party for myself, but it has been a very long hard road since my dx. But hey, it has for all of us. Just in my case, losing a wife, and having another relationship go to hell(only partially over CML) has pretty much did it for me when it comes to relationships. I'll find a way to exist, part of what helps me is helping others in our group. I have also been sort of working on a novel, and something tells me I will have plenty of time on my hands to maybe sink myself into it. It is a vampire novel(for those that know anything about me that should not be a surprise..hehe) and sadness is what I wanted to project for the main character, so needless to say I will have plenty of that to go around now. I promise not to post to many pity rants, but knowing me I am sure there will be at least a few. Thanks for listening everyone. Take care,
