Welcome, Jennifer. Make sure you tell the kids that Mommy will be just fine, because you certainly will be. Life will seem somewhat normal again over time.
Your body will need to adjust to Gleevec, and everyone reacts a little differently to it. Some side effects will decrease or even go away over time. Then you will need to think more about how to control the remaining ones. The side effects are generally hard to reduce by supplements. But my Oncologist wants me to take a good multiple vitamin daily with folic acid and Vitamin C, and also exercise regularly. There is a discussion about supplements on this website at the following link: http://groups.google.com/group/CMLHope/browse_thread/thread/8c951596dcaa992c/1187768473070339?lnk=gst&q=supplements&rnum=2&hl=en#1187768473070339 On specific side effects some of us can offer additional advice, if you want to ask more detailed questions. --Trey --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ [CMLHope] A support group of http://cmlhope.com ------------------------------------------------- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CMLHope" group.
