Hello Susan and everyone
I too have my dizzy spells, in fact sometimes I am
downright staggering..could not pass a road side dui
test. . but I think mine is from low hemoglobin I am
ok as long as it stays above 100K
but as soon as it drops down below that I start to get
weak and dizzy. I do not seem to mind low platelets
but that Hgb is another thing, I asked to have my
cutoff point raised to 90K so I now get
hemoglobin around 89K but most times by the time I get
it my Hgb is down closer to 80K, only trouble is that
ferritin is high , so I am now on exjade for that...
ahh the joys of CML fix one thing another goes
west...I rather be on exjade than desferal injecting
myself every day for 11 hours a day was a real pain...
some people can put the pump in at night and sleep I
could not.. so I did it all day and carried the pump
slung over my neck... Exjade if it works it great just
a couple of tablets in a glass of water stir until
melted and drink... we are not sure it is
working...but for over use of transfusions it sure
make life a wee bit better
my Diary of blood counts and transfusions
