Hi all and blessing to all, I got the results of my FISH test, and out of 200 cells examined they found no leukemic cells. That is good news. However, I believe my Dr wanted a PCR done and the lab person wasn't sure what he had ordered. When I went in to get tested, the person who drew the blood didn't know what the dr meant and was looking it up in a book. I told her PCR and I'm pretty sure the prescription said PCR but she ended up doing FISH test instead. I'm going to tell the dr to do another test; a PCR, as this is the best test to do after you have had CML, other than the BMA. I didn't like the lab at all; I was called back in and told I had to have more blood drawn as they labeled the sample wrong. The lab that did the FISH testing is Specialty Laboratories Inc in CA. As my platelets have been high, I don't know if I trust that test at all.
