Hi Mel, don't feel alone in being on an emotional roller coaster from the results of your blood test. I have been on one for months now and I know the feeling well. I had one FISH come back negative and then had another done and it came back 160 bad cells of 200. It's a lot of stress and I handle mine with my faith, good walks and trying to keep positive. Platlets dropping was the big problem there. So I was sent to MDACC orlando for trail, May 2, 07 started AMN 107( tasigna ) till June 07 Once again platlet trouble, not to low though 48, but the drug company wanted me off the study. And does this show that I was much improved on the AMN107 tasigna.? Should I ask to go back on tasigna now that it is available? what are your thoughts? I have a BMB to do on 12/27. I am trying to avoid a transplant, if possible. The BMB is to check also if I still have the trisomy 8. I am afraid it is going to be there, due to the fact that the sprycel is not doing what tasigna did?????? Please help, emotionally overwhelm.
