I agree with the response about the support for the feet, it is called Plantar's Faciitis and is an inflammation of the Plantar tendon that runs the whole length of the bottom of the foot. Crocs are good, I suppose, but a good sneaker or any shoe with a good arch support will do. I found with this that as soon as I got out of bed every morning I just could not walk on my left foot. After an hour or so it would work itself out and then I could walk OK, but come next morning....same thing. I bought a pair of New Balance sneakers, this is almost 20 years ago, and they felt so good when I put them on that I slept with them on for 3 months. I have had one bout of this pain since then and it was because I was living in an apartment where I had 25 stairs to get out and 25 stairs to go down 2 times a day to go to and from work.
