I had hairy cell leukemia in 1993 and had several bone marrow biopsies for
that. I was diagnosed with CML in 1998 and have had 2 or more bone marrow
aspirations or biopsies every year since then, so I'm at least at 25 or 26,
but it seems several people have me beat!

Senior Members:
Congrats to Gwen, Gay, SuzieQ, and any other long-termers! I will
reach my 14th year with CML August 1. It is important that we post
occasionally to give the newbies a shot in the arm. It hasn't always
been easy, but here we still are. I have a fun challenge to offer
(like Zavie's Zero Club). Two records: number of bone marrow
aspriations and number of sticks. I posted some time ago before PCR
was standard that I had 28 bone marrows. I don't remember who, but
someone beat that. I have tried to compute the number os sticks (not
including blood taken from catheters). Six years on Interferon
sticking once per day added to the number of blood sticks in the arm,
I come up with about 3,000 sticks. Anybody beat that? We've come a
long way, Baby!
Dave
