Hi Patrick:  That information was very informative.  I was told when I was 
diagnosed that they did not see a genetic relationship to CML, but yet my Aunt 
and Grandmother on my fathers side died from Leukemia.  Nobody every checked to 
see what type they had, also it was many years ago before anything could be 
done for Leukemia.

The nature of the origin of my CML has always been a bit mysterious
since I've never been near Chernobyl. (The most likely explanation is
that I know nothing about my dad's ancestors.)
But a few minutes after I read this article its potential relevance to
CML struck me (in addition to what seems like to me it's significance
