Hi Greenie and yes, I think that is the problem. I got to where I didn't really want to tell him about my side effects because he never did anything anyway. I'm happy to say my rash went away before I even got to the Dr. I double up the yogurt and acidoflus and I think it helped. Those Gleevec pills are so bitter I think they turn our whole system to bitter. I try to eat something sweet when I take it to sweeten things up a little. What's that song, " Just a teaspoon of sugar make the medicine go down." I had one BMA without any pain meds at all; the first one I had. The onc did it in his office. Then he sent me to the hospital with a sore rear end, and it was sore for a while. Then when he wanted to do the last one, I thought he was going to do it in his office, but he said he didn't do those in his office anymore. I wonder if he had trouble with some patients about it. Hi Jeanie What I think is that the Doctors don't want to hear from us about the nausea problems that we are having this late in the game. Most people get the nausea at the beginning when taking Gleevec. I still think they don't want to hear it from us. Two many people are having nausea problems after being on the drug for so many years. I've been on it for over 8 1/2 years. If he would just come out and say David it's the Gleevec that's giving to the nausea it would make me feel a lot better. It's having the problem and not knowing was the real cause the gives you the nausea. I think I'm talking in circles.
