Kelly, I can understand what your going through. I retired from a steel co with a small amount of money each month. My wife then didn't work she for on Medicare, she had every important part of her body removed except her heart and lungs, if you know what I mean. I spent more time in the emergency room with her then at home. Then I find out that I had CML and was put on Interferon which almost killed me. This junk was poison to me. Well any way she put me in for Medicare with a letter form my cancer Doctor explaining my problem and that their was no way I would be able to work and was under her care and that I should get my things in order. I was selling cars at my best friends dealership. Within 2 weeks it was approved, but I didn't get any money from them for 6 months. If he writes the letter correctly you may get approved, it's worth a try. She also had power of attorney because the Interferon had be bed ridden. I won't tell you what she did while I was in that state. It's a real long story, but she walked out on both of us for someone else. He has not talked to her in the last 9 years, he's 23 now. She left me with a lot of bills. But we made it and we are both doing very well. To tell you the truth she did us both a favor. Greenie
