Regarding pain following BMB or BMA.
I have always had the same doctor to do all of
mine. I haven't experienced severe pain during
or following the procedure. I feel most fortunate
in this regard. However, every time I have a
procedure scheduled I feel apprehension. I
think that this will be the time when he messes up
and I will feel it. (I keep my fingers crossed)
I usually have one done every six months (I have
been going since I was diagnosed in l995)
We always do the procedure there in the clinic.
I go to lunch with a friend (designated driver)
and then we drive home. (I live hour and half from
the hospital) I don't hear any more from this until
I go back for my next appointment. He does not
give results over the telephone. If there is something
I need to know or something needs changing the nurse
calls for me to come in.
I wish all of you could have a pain free situation.
However, we all know that there are a lot of factors
involved and every situation if different.
