Hi Kelly, On February 5, 2009 I will have been on Gleevec as you can see 9
years. Their are some ups and downs but when I was first told that I had
CML the Doctor in Munster, IN. said I had between 6 months and 2 1/2 years.
Each person is different she said, I felt she was being nice witch I was
thinking I had maybe one to two years at the most and that was it, that was in
December of 1998. So, the bottom line is their is no way of knowing what we
have
left. Of course in my case being 69 most of the sand in the hour glass is
running low on the top side. And the way these people in Springfield,MO.
drive the end could come tomorrow. These folks DO NOT know what a stop sign
or a
red light means. The first year we moved here 3 years ago my wife was
sitting at a stop light and some guy ran into the rear end of her Sport-Trac.
He
was on his cell phone talking to his son. So my Aunt always said just take
one day at a time and she lived way passed 80. You all take care.
