Thanks Nancy in NY, I saw an Oncologist on Jan. 23, 2004- He was pretty sure I had CML. He did the BMB and BMA right in his office that day and sent me to the hospital for asphereisis of the blood. I spent 4 days in the hospital getting my blood cleaned. I think it was sometime in Feb. that I finally got my Gleevec. It was a sick time for me until my blood finally started responding to the Gleevec. My platelets stayed in the millions for a while. I use to pack a bag for the hospital every time I had a Doctor's appointment because he kept saying I needed to go back in the hospital, but thanks to God I never had to go back. God is Good.
