Hi SusieQ, So glad everything is good for you. What are your Hemg counts? I was wondering what your onc considers anemia. Mine finally got up to 13.4 after being as low as 7.4. My onc want to transfuse on anything under 8. Enjoy your company. Blessings, Jeanie<3 In a message dated 2/15/2009 3:30:56 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes:
Hi Greenie: Am so sorry to hear about Grace as well as all the hassle from the hospital there and doctors. You feel bad enough without getting a run- a-round from the place that is suppose to be caring for youl. Our St. John's here isn't that way........except for their lab....I have always had great care as did my husband when he had the minor back surgery a couple years back. It was the St. John's in St. Louis. I will say this.....Ovarian Cancer is nothing to mess around with....the sooner one starts getting treated, the better. You guys will definitely be in my prayers......will add her to our church's prayer list tomorrow, ok? OK.......listen up everybody......I "finally" received the report about my blood work from this new primary doctor's office yesterday & hallelujah!!!!!! my cholesterol is normal!!!! She didn't tell me what the numbers were, but I did ask for her to send me out copies of all the test results so I can see for myself. She also said my blood sugar was good.....thyroid was good.....only minor thing was the anemia (I knew they would have something to say about that) but, I told her that the drug causes that and my hematologist keeps a close watch on it. Ladies and gentlemen......my cholesterol has never been normal, so I am ecstatic over that. Now....it could be all the supplements along with the Gleevec.....I don't know. I started taking "Vim & Vigor" (well I'm getting ready to start my 3rd bottle and each bottle has enough for 25 days) a couple of months ago.....that along with the Juice Plus, Garlic, Flaxseed Oil, & Fish Oil along with the Gleevec is working & I am so very happy. I see my hematologist/oncologist on the 23rd.....I will be interested to see the BCR/ABL results. I did tell the nurse she could set me up an appointment for the colonoscopy......just do it at the hospital in Rolla or the one in Washington. I won't have stuff like done at the hospital in Sullivan. I am going this Friday for a mammogram as well as a bone density test. It will be interesting to hear the results of that. Well, just wanted to chime in......going to head off to bed since it is almost 2:30 a.m already. I've been cleaning all day and just finished up sweeping, mopping, & running the vacuum. Decided anything else could wait until tomorrow afternoon. My husband's sister & their cousin are on their way here with a moving truck from San Jose', California. Roger went out to Kansas to maybe stop them there for a day or two of rest before coming on over here. That made me feel a whole lot better because it gives me more time to get things done without feeling rushed. I don't do "rush" well any more. (smile) Everyone have a great Sunday God Bless, Suzieq **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
