Hi Jeannie:

I've been on Sprycel since May. I did get a severe headache that
lasted for 3 days which sent me to the ER. Well, they OD'd me on
Dilaudid, Versed and Toradol (code blue). So......I won't be going
back to that hospital again. I have found that if I eat and drink a
lot of fluids when I take my Sprycel (with dinner) - I don't get the
headaches. They used to tell you to take the Sprycel on an empty
stomach, but my literature states you can take it with food. The food
wards off the headaches. I have nausea quite a bit, but other than
that, Sprycel is a cake walk compared to Gleevec. I always had wicked
headaches with the Gleevec. I am also very fatigued. Can't quite
determine if it is depression or the CML or the Sprycel. Most days
it's a chore just to get off the couch. We have a nonprofit cancer
center where I live that offers all kinds of classes (yoga, art, book
clubs, Reiki, massage therapy, etc., etc. all FREE) and I think if I
get involved in some of these activities it might help with the
depression and fatigue. Now if I can just make myself do it....lol

Take Care!
Kelly
