Forgot to mention, not only was Michigan hit hard in automotive,
but the wonderful healthcare co's raised their costs 33 percent. So
now people making a paltry 12 dollars an hour, have been paying 40 to
60 dollars a month for COMPANY PROVIDED healthcare. It used to be
free in the union package, and wages used to be 15 dollars an hour,
but companys have not Bern able to afford healthcare for years now.
Try supporting a fily of 4 on this.
Of course, all new hires make 8 bucks an hour - no healthcare.
Who did you think would pay if they get sick, like the 26 yr old with
term cancer at local hai center?
People have to get out of their, "I've got mine; too bad for you"
mindset.
And let's not forget the doubling of social security of Regan's
to pay for the deficit created by his tax breaks for the rich.
The middleclass doesn't have a wallet left- can't afford one.
