Nancy,

I have been on Tasigna since June 2008. The fasting has been the most
difficult part of being on this drug for me. I am doing very well and hope
this continues. My schedule seems to work best with me taking my drugs at 10
a.m. and about 10 p.m. I can get up, eat breakfast, then two hours later
take my Tasigna. I have nothing but water for one hour after taking it. I
can eat normally the rest of the day. At night I take my medicine before
bed at 10 or 11. I can go right to bed after taking it with no problems.
I don't want to set any alarms to get up to take meds. I want to have
coffee when I first get up in the morning, and my dr. says that YES coffee
counts in the fast. When they say fasting, it means no coffee or tea either.
 Nothing but water. Good luck.
