Hi Kelly,
I take my Sprycel with my lunch.
I did better taking with my breakfast except for the going to the bathroom
I was telling you about.
I didn't mean having diarrhea but going to pee so much after taking the
Sprycel. Try taking senna or cascara for the constipation. I get mine in
capsules at the health food store. They work good with little side effects.
Yogurt is a food I eat daily but not activia. The regular yogurt has all
the good stuff in it you need. I like Dannon's plain natural yogurt. It
has no additive in it. You can add a little natural fruit to it if you like
it. Pineapple that is canned in natural juice is really good along with
any kind of fruit you like as long as it's not sweetened. I also eat flax
seed with nutritional yeast daily. The flax seed will help with the
constipation also.
How are you doing on Sprycel?
Blessings

Hi Jeanie,

I was taking the Sprycel before bedtime until I finally realized it
was the cause of my constant cough (had a bad flu which seems to have
instigated this). I then started taking it earlier and earlier and
found out from my onc that I could take loratadine (Claritin) or
Mucinex to help with the cough. I tried the Mucinex first and it
helped some but the loratadine helped the most. I now try to take the
Sprycel around 2:00 p.m. It seems as long as I take it before 4:00
p.m., I fare a lot better with the coughing and shortness of breath. I
don't like to take it close to my other meds which I take upon
awakening. You say it sends you to the bathroom? I wish I had that
problem. The Sprycel really binds me up (sorry to be gross/graphic).
I've experienced terrible rectal tears (common in leukemia patients, I
was sorry to find out) and nothing seems to work for this. Jamie Lee
Curtis can stuff her Activia - it doesn't work. (LOL!) I tried prune
juice, but couldn't gag it down. So....I'll have to rely on "chemical"
treatments (meds) which I am loathe to do. Such as it is!

Blessings to all!
Kelly
