Marcia, I started Gleevic Feb 5th 2000. I started at 400 mg but I got the rash. Back then they didn't have any idea what was going on. They dropped me to 300 mg and after a month or so it went away. Cramps,burred vision puffy eyes are the worse that I have had. I've been lucky. BUT you to watch was other drugs that you take be because they can cause problems with mix of Gleevic. Hello CML Friends, I have been battling CML for 9 years now. And I still gett very ill from gleevec. Nausea daily, bone pain, chills and my vision has changed drastically. I am on 600mg. The first BMB was done in doc's office with nothing but local and he was unable to retrieve any bone marrow, but did get the sliver of bone.
