Hi Suzieq, so happy everything went great!
My niece had that done and was back in the hospital in a few days with a
bad infection and she was bleeding.
She said the pain was excruciating but they went back in and fixed
everything.
She's ok now.
I have never had one done, but might do one in the future.
I have had that pain in the lower right side, and I noticed I got it once
when I had eaten flax seed.
Keep an eye on what your eat and see what you are eating when you get the
pain.
Blessings,
Jeanie<3

LOL!!!

Had it done yesterday morning and everything went great. No glitches
or problems. The toughest part was the prep before hand. Had to just
do the clear liquids the day before, started taking the wonderful
pills at 1(afternoon) with taking four at a time every 15 minutes till
I consumed 20 and then get up at 3:00 am to finish the other twelve,
but hey, they worked.....LOL!!! I thought, this isn't too different
than when I had the bad diarrhea with Gleevec in the beginning.
(smile) I remember them starting my "drug" at 10:06 am and I woke up
back in the little room right at 10:50. They had me out of there, I
think, by 11:05. HaHaHa. I've never been in and out for some medical
procedure that quick in my life. They gave me Profonol and it was
like I fell into a great sleep and then they woke me up out of it
before I was ready. I told mom no wonder Michael Jackson had this at
home to help him sleep. It was awesome.

All she found was one small polyp which she removed and some "internal
hemorrhoids" which was a little surprising to me as I had no clue
about those. But the great thing was "no Diverticulitis" Yippee, I
can eat my "homegrown" tomatoes now. LOL! So, this does away with
the theory of that being the cause of the pain in lower left side.
Hhhmmmmmm, not that & not the spleen. What in the devil could it
be???? I give up.

One interesting thing to happen while I was there.......it was on my
paperwork that I had CML, and when the nurse who was preparing me saw
that, she told this other nurse "I'm going to assign this patient to
you and so and so to this other nurse named Donna. They then
proceeded to tell me that Donna had just lost her 4 year old grandson
last Saturday to AML. Said that the doctors had just diagnosed him on
the previous Thursday and he was dead by Saturday. They did not want
Donna to see that CML on my paperwork and I certainly understood
that........but, my question was "why is she here working" to my Mom
who was there to drive me home. My mom said "well, I certainly
wouldn't be at work after losing a grandchild just a few days ago & I
said, neither would I"! So very sad.

Still trying to get my BCR-ABL results from two weeks ago. Left word
with nurse practitioner who is out on vacation and will be back in
tomorrow. Hopefully, the tests are back by now.

Blessings to all,

Suzieq
