I also switched from Gleevec to Sprycel, and like you, I am much better, side effect wise, on it. However, I agree with replies from Tom and Daniel...what you are describing could perhaps be the symptoms of Plural, Pericardial or abdominal effusion, Sprycel does have that risk. That is where fluid collects in the cavities around the lungs, heart, or other organs. The symptoms you describe are among those my Cardiologist alerted me to watch out for. The good news is that he tells me that it is managable, and sometimes a reduction in the dose of Sprycel will help manage that, if in fact, that is the problem you are experiencing. I don't know, however, if I would want to wait another entire week to know...a call to your doc to inquire about the tests this week might get things moving faster if needed.
