Hello Erin, My name is Tina, I live in Florida and have been a member of the "club" for almost 7years in March 2011. Four years ago my boyfriend (now husband) and I had an unplanned pregnancy while I was on Gleevec 600mg. My onc isnt conservative but she doesn't have any children and tends to be a little stay to the program type of doctor. We chose to keep the baby as we dont believe in abortion, came off all medications right away. I was not in remission at the time, by the end of my pregnancy my counts were WBC 50,000 RBC 30,000 ish and my platelets were very elevated. On Aug 4th 2006 I gave birth to a healthy 8lb 2 1/2 oz baby boy (exactly 40weeks that day lol). We are making plans to have another baby next year, our son just started pre-school and is very healthy absolutely no abnormalities. I highly suggest you read Erin Zammett From glamor Magizine, she is a few years old then I am about your age and now has 2 children with CML. We also thought about adoption but I know I am more then capable of having my own children and with a lot of prayer we made it happen. Email me anytime if you need any help on this journey as I am now fighting again for baby #2. Follow your heart :)
