Would you please tell me what sunlight soap is. I have terrible muscle cramps
each night and nothing seems to work including different muscle relaxants.
Thanks, Bev (boopshin)

It doesn't have to be Sunlight soap.....any bar of soap has worked for me each
time. Crazy but true!!!

Hi: I don't know whether this will help, but sure helped me with leg cramps. I
was told to put a bar of sunlight soap in my bed and the cramps would go away.
They did and also for many other people. Don't ask me why, but it seemed to
work. good luck

Hello to all, I've been on Gleevic since it was approved for use in the US in
2001. After about a year I started having cramps in my legs at night. Now I get
cramps in other areas also, hands, feet, back. They are coming much closer
together and I've been losing a lot of work. Many of you have complained of
this
problem, has any ones Oncologist tried mussel relaxers and if so did they help
on the occasions when the cramps were happening.

Any help and or advise is more than welcome!

Hi to all my CML WARRIORS,
Those cramps were terrible on Gleevec. They would wake me up at night and
I would have to get up and walk. Try massaging the feet and lower legs
right before you go to bed and good luck.
I had them in my hands also; had trouble chopping veggies and etc.
Blessings,
Jeanie<3

Jim, I started Gleevec on Feb 5, 2000 and I have had cramps all this time.
They come and go. Some are so bad they will make a grown man cry. BUT,
it's better then dead. Sorry, to put it that way. I have a six speed
trans in my car and their have been times when I'll get a cramp and can't use
the clutch and haft to pull of the road and walk it off. Good luck..

Yes Bob that could be the answer. I never did drink much water.

I, too, have had cramps and in weird ways. The arch of my foot, the
middle of my back, my thumb, etc. My primary care doctor immediately
said I was dehydrated. Because of the gleevec, the electrolyte
imbalance can happen sooner for us than for most people. So, although
most folks wouldn't be dehydrated at the same water intake level, we
will be. I've started being a lot more diligent in drinking water and
the cramps have really eased off. If I have a rough day at work with
a lot of meetings and a lot of coffee coupled with not much water;
that night I will notice the cramps are worse. I've also noticed that
if I do a lot of yard work, for example, and don't drink a good amount
before starting, the cramps are much worse. So, it all seems to tie
together. I was struck by how quickly and definitively my doctor said
dehydration. Like most of these things, everyone responds
differently, but that's what I've been doing to combat them.

When I was on Gllevec, I had muscle cramps bad. I couldn't drive, my
foot cramped up pressing the gas pedal. they hit me at night, in the
calfs of my legs, arch in my feet, hips, even in my side. I took soma
muscle relaxers and they took care of most of it.

 Topic: Having trouble with sprycel
"[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sep 24 08:50PM -0700 ^

I've run into some new problems with sprycel so I need some advice. I
haven't mentioned it to my doctor yet but the sprycel is making my
chest hurt, heart racing out of my chest, go into a panic attack upon
getting up each day. I know this is doing it. Last week, when I went
to get my sprycel filled, they didn't have any in stock, they ordered
it but then my insurance said I needed prior authorization so this
took 3 days...anyway, I didn't have any sprycel to take for about 5
days and when I didn't take it, I had none of those symptoms. Has
anyone else had this problem? They are still giving me the bad
headaches, too. I started seeing a new primary doctor, don't think he
is going to please me either, but anyway, since i was so severely
depressed, he would not treat me for it and has me seeing a
psychiatrist. He started me on cymbalta 30mgs first week, 2nd week
60mgs. They make me so nauseous, also give me a headache. The side
effects are horrendous, and some of the side effects are the same as
the sprycel. Keep in mind I do have emphysema. I just don't think the
sprycel is going to work out for me , nor the cymbalta. I have gerd
and the sprycel and cymbalta seem to be keeping it flared up. I am
taking both at night, one to avoid the nausea and the other to sleep
thru the headache which I still wake up with one. Please share your
input with me. I am terrified...if I can't take sprycel, I don't know
what i am going to do...the tasgina is definitely not an option.
Love,peace, hope n prayers, Pat
