Yes, my intent is to remain off medication for as long as I can. While I know all the drugs are available to use, they all have thier problems. I somehow value the Quality of Life more than just being alive because some drug is able to keep me at Zero. As long as my body keeps everything low key and I do not have (and have not) a blast phase I see no reason to endure the side effects of the drugs. As of now I am happy to be one of those to be has responded well to Gleevec for the CML and help prove that it may not be necessary for all CMLers to endue a lifetime of this powerful drug.
