I started a study in Chicago on Feb 5th 2000. It was call STI571 back then. I had to take 400 mg of the drug. I then received the Gleevec rash and they had no idea what to do. They then started me on 300 mg each day and I have been on that amount from almost the start. I asked years later if I should go back to 400 mg and the Doctor told me if it's not broken don't try to fix it. My counts have been good all these years. Each person reacts to drugs in different ways, some may need more or less, in my case I think it's less. But I'm not going try anything new at this point. Greenie Ft. Myers, FL.
