I am sorry to hear your news. I understand your fears. But I would talk to
the specialists who research the meds and see what their take is. Dr.
Druker, who as you probably know, is the discoverer- creator of Gleevec is very
knowledgeable about drug resistance, the new drugs that are out there that
address the clones etc...He is accessible. His info:

Brian J Druker MD. Knight Cancer Institute. Oregon Health and Science
University.
ph. 503-494-5596. In this situation you can try and make an appointment
with him if you are willing to fly... your doctor can to try and consult with
him. [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) .

Another person on line here has spoken highly of Dr. Tolpaz at the
Unversity of Michigan. He sees patients and does research and has great
knowledge
about sprycel, and the other meds available, tasigna..posatinib (sp?) I
believe tyhis one was created in part in response to people who become
resistant........just because you become resistant to one drug..does not mean
you
cannot benefit from the other drugs as you have from Gleevec. I know there are
others who have done just that and are doing well. I hope this will happen for
you as well.

I would encourage you to get as much information as possible so you can
make an educated decision.

Good luck and I will keep you in my thoughts. Beth
