Hi all you Survivors! I went back for blood work "re-do" for BCR-ABL today and hopefully, it will arrive back East safe and sound! :-) My last visit was on Dec. 12th, and I have been waiting all this time for the results to come back, so I called last Wed. for the 2nd time to see if they had received the results back yet. My Dr.'s Nurse Practitioner called later that day and told me that it had not, so she called the company where it's sent and they informed her that they never received the blood. No one seems to know what happened to it??? So, we redid it and I told the little lady taking it this morning what happened and she said, "well, I'm handling this, so it won't get lost." :-) She was good, too. Didn't feel a thing but a slight stick of the needle. I love these girls, they are so good!
My first thought from this whole process was "what if this had been a bone marrow biopsy test" that got lost. I would not have been very happy about going back in to have that re-done! By the way......coming up on #8 anniversary of diagnosis! Still alive and kicking! I know Zavie is smiling down right now! He really helped me in the beginning of my long journey & I sure miss his beautiful pictures! Here's to the Miller family, God Bless You All and take care. You are in my prayers!
