Thanks Suzieq, My appointment is on the 20th of this month. I do agree with the side effects, they do come and go. I started Gleevec February 5th of 2000. I'll let you know what happens after my appointment. I don't know what happened to winter up in Northwest Indiana but it looks like they by passed winter. My son called me to let me know it's going to be in the low 70's. That doesn't happen until the first week in June. Greenie from sunny Fort Myers Florida In a message dated 3/12/2012 11:59:28 A.M. Greenine: Since it's the 12th, you've probably seeing your Onc. today, but I wanted to "chime" in here and just say being on Gleevec now 8 yrs., I still have bouts of nausea and will even throw up occasionally if I do not have enough in my stomach. And, sometimes, I still throw up if the Gleevec doesn't like what I ate......but the nausea hits more than anything. I've not had any anxiety attacks, (thankfully), but all the rest of the side effects listed. Doctors can say what they want, I know my body and I know it's the Gleevec. I am a firm believer for those of us on Gleevec, all these side effects come and go.....they may not stick around long, but they will go away and then a while later down the road, reappear. Hope all goes well with your appointment. You and Gracie take care and have a good day.
