Dear Millie, Thanks for staying in touch.
By the way, I get dialysis every Mon, Wed and Friday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm but usually have to stay there about 15 to 20 minutes more so that the needle holes in my arm stop bleeding. this is what happens to most that get dialysis in their arm through what is called a fistula. Just something else to dear with I guess. But I'm not complaining because I'm still alive to get dialysis. If everything works as planned we will be going back to our other home in Pennsylvania. I have been making arraignments to get my dialysis in a center in the town of Honesdale which is about 40 minutes from where I live in Pennsylvania. I hope that you enjoyed the pasta salad you made. I know for sure you really did enjoy that strawberry pie. That goes without saying. Mmmm, hot strawberry pie. There are three pies that I just love. The first is cherry pie, then comes pecan pie then strawberry pie. Yummy! Millie, I don't know what Tasigna does but only what I hear from others because I was never on it. Maybe one of the reasons that your tired is that maybe your hemoglobin may be low. The next time that you have blood work done ask to have your hemoglobin level checked. If it is 10 or below then that may be your problem and if it is then there are procrit injections that will make you feel a lot better. Be sure to ask your doctor. I get Procrit also called Epogen almost every time I get dialysis. Usually small amounts because if my hemoglobin gets over 12 then it is time to stop it. A first normal dose is usually in the 40,000 units range. I get about 8,000 units each time I get it. Also about your low blood pressure, you should ask your doctor what he or she recommends you to do about it. Maybe adding a little salt to your diet might be able to help but you need to discuss that with your doctor. it is also hot and humid down here in south Florida, and I know what you mean about the smell of freshly cut grass. Take good care of yourself Millie, and may GOD keep on blessing you. 18's Marty On Fri, May 25, 2012 at 1:42 PM, C.M.
