Congratulations to Suzy Q. Hope the None Detectable continues for you. Larry, you & my husband, Nick, have been on Gleevec for 9 years. Nick has been on 400 for quite a while. His Oncologist doesn't want to change his dosage or change to another type of drug option. Neither does Nick. He wants to keep his "non dectable" and not "rock the boat" . He doesn't want any chance the CML would come roaring back! Larry, you are the age of our sons and so you do have a good long life ahead. What might come down the pike as a good alternative to Gleevec will probably be in your future, but not Nick's. And that's O.K. for us. We wish all of you in our CML family a blessed season and a Merry Christmas. Elizabeth W.

I guess because of the holidays, it took a while getting to me. (smile) I am still "None Detected" all across the board! HALLELUJAH!!!! I have tested this now each time since July 12, 2010. And, this time I thought it would be most important since it was 1 year since cutting my Gleevec from the 400mgs I had been taking since day one (Feb. '04) in half to 200mgs. So, it is working just fine! My body seems to have adjusted to the 200mgs. and I don't have any problems with taking it as I did with the 400. I am still having a lot of joint pain, but not a whole lot I can do about it. I did talk with her about how I think we are going to have to address this within the next year. I told her that maybe they could send me to some doctor that specializes in Arthritis. Well, just wanted to share this. I want to also wish every one a very Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays. God bless you one and all throughout the New Year, too! Love & Keep Looking Up, Suzieq "larry" <[email protected]> Dec 12 01:37PM -0500 I have been on 400 of gleevec sence april 2003 and have thought about going to 200 . been bcr neg since nov 2003 . don't seem to have lots of issues with 400mg just wondering how your feeling on the 200 now . just worried with 200 it might come back , don't want to loose ground after 9 yrs . Pleae advice .I will pay the transportation fee by DHL. pl help Marty Gartenberg <[email protected]> Dec 12 08:16PM -0500 Hi Suzieq, I would also like to wish you a very healthy and happy holiday season. It looks like your doing real well and it should continue. Maybe in the near future if your doctor thinks you could get off of it compleatly or just drop the dose to 100. I would suggest that you run this by a CML speciaist like Dr. Brian Druker. He always returnes emails. So, it gives me great pleasure to say that GOD has, and still continues to bless you. As always, 18's Marty Marcie Goodman <[email protected]> Dec 12 08:53PM -0500 What wonderful news, Suzieq! May the holiday season and New Year bring blessings for you and your family.
