Yahoooooooooooo Patrick! Glad you are doing so well. Tasigna didn't work for me. I had to go on sprycel. It's working good. It seems these meds dry out our skin and eyes. Use a some good eye drops to keep the eyes moist. Cool water helps a lot. A worry would be if the cells are bleeding, might they be bleeding in other areas? Yes check with your doctor for sure. As other CMLer's have pointed out, yes Gleevec causes eye bleeds. You do need to make your doctor aware that you are having them. And most are no big deal and go away on their own. But they can be severe enough to stop Gleevec and possibly require other medical intervention. It just depends on how bad yours are. If you're in doubt insist on seeing your doctor right away. If they are like the eye bleeds most of us have had just let them know about the event and likely you will just follow up at your your next appointment. Mine were very mild compared to most people's. But that's still one more thing I don't miss about Gleevec. (I'm a month away from 2 years on Tasigna and a year of PCRU.) If your eyes itch, rubbing is not an option.
