HI MIchele, I have been on sprycel for three years in November. I had my first mild pleural effusion about five months into taking it. Since then, I have stayed ahead of the possible swelling by taking a diuretic, very small amt., and that seems to have kept the issue at bay. I take 40 to 50 mgs. a day...I am wondering what your dosage is currently, and what you have been on during the last two and a half years since you started this journey. Your dancing video was gorgeous, so graceful and so inspiring....thank you for sharing it. I know you do not want to take medications if you don't have to, and each has their own host of side effects....so if you can be off the drug for awhile and juice with things that are natural diuretics..it may help. My doc prescribed prednizone for a brief time and it cleared up the swelling pretty quickly. I was on it for a couple of weeks. Then back on the sprycel at a reduced dose. take good care and hope it6 helps to know you are not at all alone in this symptom. Beth
