Hi Marty.....I'm so sorry that people have to go through this mess of things to get help. Hopefully it will straighten itself out before we're 80. Guess after 80 they feel you're not worth the effort. So far, I'm not having any insurance problems, but perhaps that's because mine is all Fed. Gov't based as I have Medicare and also Tricare for life, so I'm hoping that will cover things. I have been fortunate to have this coverage. Thank God my husband was in the Navy for 20 years. Lately, I've notices that I might have to pay parts of my medical because SS and Tricare aren't paying enough. I guess time will tell. It is a terrible situation for a lot of people.
I'm busy cooking up a storm, which is ridiculous for 3 people, but I feel it might be the last time I'm going to do it. It just gets to difficult for me to manage it all. The turkey is in the oven and most everything else is ready to go when the time is right. I just keep going and going...like the energizer bunny. It must go through a 15 member appointed panel, and they will decide how much dialysis you can get and how much they will pay for it. The same thinge apply to anyone over the age of 80 years who have cancer. There are a lot of doctors that will stop accepting medicare because of the low structured payments they will be receiving. Another example is if you need a colonoscopy. Normally you could have one done every five years no matter what your age is. It will now be every ten years if you didn't have any problems in the past. And, I'm not just pulling this out of a hat because my wife wanted to have her five year colonoscopy but the doctor said that he was not allowed to do it according to Medicare unless she was having any problems in the past which she haden't or now.
