Yummy cookies; I eat way too much during the season. I like fruitcake, but I buy the Claxtons and eat them all during the season. I also love eggnog. Yes, we can all go on a diet right after New Year hehe. When I was young, my family decorated the living room with all kinds of garland and decorations. We had a mantle and it would be full of things. The present I looked forward to was my stocking. It was always full of nuts and candies. I believe in Santa and still do. I know he's busy this season, because all the Ups trucks were late in delivering his toys. Hehe I think Amazon exploded this year. Good luck with all and Happy New year. I'm the original cookie monster, so it's difficult for me to resist them. Tomorrow they'll go into my pantry/utility room where it's cold and they'll be better off, and I can't get them. My wheel chair has a hard time going into that room, so my son will put them where I can't reach them. You just don't look at your waist line when you're eating them....Don't know that it works, but sounds good to me. You take care and have a wonderful Holiday Season. Mine will be quiet, but then my kids will come in the week after, so I'm looking forward to that, especially the little ones. They love coming then as it's like another Christmas for them. They don't need a thing though. They have everything a child would want and it's hard to know what to get them, so this year it's a Hess Truck (which I get them one each year), and then I'm going to wrap up little funny things. I also plan on giving them money to go spend on whatever they want or need, or just bank it. They love Nana to make cookies though, so they'll look forward to that. Their Mom bakes a lot too, so they don't go without. They always pack some up to take back home with them. We all need to enjoy this Holiday Season with the ones we care for. I want to finish a quilt yet. If not before Christmas, then after, but it's getting done. I'm almost there. I've really decorated this year, but I figure that this is my way to enjoy the Christmas Season. I told my son that I'm leaving it all up until valentines day. I might just do that. Talk to you soon. Marty, we're getting some of that white stuff starting tonight and into tomorrow with a couple more inches to shovel. We got at least 6 inches of it the other day, with ice, so it wasn't fun to get rid of. My Chris went out and pushed the snow blower through it. Thank God we have a big one, as anything smaller wouldn't have gone through the icy mess. It took him 3 hours to clear the driveway and the private road that goes past our house. He only does a small section of that. Enough to get us in and out of our driveway. As long as I stay inside, I can appreciate it. I don't want to get out in it. I must have some lazar surgery on both eyes this month. It's from scar tissue from the cataract surgery. They'll do one on the 23rd, and the other on the 30th, and hopefully, it will clear my vision up. It's really been messed up lately. I have to take my glasses off to work on here. Everyone have a wonderful holiday season, and I'll pray that they will find a cure for this thing soon.
