How wonderful. I have tears in my eyes from reading this. I hope that they
are both doing well today. I had a great night on Friday night and slept
better then I have in ages....Something for my jar! I had a very bad night
last night, so am hoping for a better one tonight. I was up almost all night
last night, but then I have to remember the good night I had the night before.

I must call my doctor tomorrow as I never heard a thing back from them about
the Orthopedic Doctor they were suppose to line me up with. I think that's the
worst part of dealing with any of this. I wait and give them all chances, and
they forget about me. I'll try to straighten it out tomorrow and see how far I
get. They also didn't fax in prescriptions that I needed. I'm not sure if
it's the office help, or the doctor, but plan on getting it worked out tomorrow
or I might be looking for a new doctor. I hate that as I really do like her.

Our weather has been a little warmer. Hope that continues and we don't get
another artic blast. We even had snowy owls down this far. Years
ago...probably when we had our last artic blast...I had to drive to town about
3:00A.M. to pick up my husband and about half way there...on a country road...I
saw this huge thing swoop down along side the car. When I told people that it
was a huge white owl, no one believed me, but now there have been several
sightings of these owls, so I guess I did see one. I always knew that I did :>)

You all take care. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that whatever you're
going through at the moment will change for the better. Take care.

Hugs, 18's, and Blessings
Millie

Subject: [CMLHope] One of the bravest things I have ever seen in my life

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a
little girl named Liz! Who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her
only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old
brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the
antibodies needed to combat the illness.

The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the
little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister.

I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying,
"Yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in
bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to
her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded.

He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to
die right away".

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was
going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.

  18's,

  Marty
