I'm so glad that you got the forward from Jeanie. I got stuff back saying that the message was undeliverable and so I sent it out again, and received the same message back. Now I know that several people got the message, so "Who knows"?
I know that being able to help someone really helped reinforce the reason that you are here and that's to help in a way that only Marty can help. You are one in a million, and I'm so proud to have you as my friend. I'm sure that your chat with this couple helped them a great deal. I know that it would have helped me. I know that you'll stay in touch with them, and do whatever it takes to help them. I've been nursing this cold all day. What a mess I am. I just want to feel better and that will happen soon, I hope. Today was my Birthday and my son made the best supper ever. He made tuna steaks. They were about 2 inches thick, and so good. He also made steak fries to go along and fresh carrots, which are my favorite. I really did enjoy it all. He fussed over me all day. I got beautiful flowers from my son, Pete and his friend Denise. They also helped me cope with things here. My aid came and bathed me, which opened me up for a while. My nurse, Jean, was scheduled to come, but had a relapse and is home sick with whatever this is again. My aid told me that they're down to a couple of nurses. Everyone else is sick with something. I'm sure that the weather plays a big part of it all. One day it's cold, and the next day warm. My son, Rick will either call tonight or over the weekend. They took my Abbie out to dinner tonight. The children get to pick where they want to go for their Birthday supper, and she wanted Friendly's, so that's where they were going. I hope that she enjoyed it. She was 5 years old today. I had an appointment with my cardiologist and when he came into the examination room he asked me if I could do him a favor. Of course I said I would without even knowing what the favor was. He then told me that there is amother patient of his in the next room that will be going through a bone marrow transplant and if I could speak with him and his wife. Of course I would so he brought them into the exam room I was in and we had a wonderful chat. I know that I put their minds at ease and I am living up to my promise to GOD. I will now keep in touch with them and offer anything that I think will help them through this. By the way this persom has a perfect unrelated match. Now how better can that be? What are the chances of me meeting them today at the same time of both of our appointments and him having a perfect 10 out of 10 HLA match from a perfect stranger. How is your pain; what do you take for it? These pain meds constipate me so I am cutting back on them. I only took the tramadol which was supposed to be safe but it does cause constipation. My mulberry tree is full and the birds fuss at me if I eat them; it's funny. Big black crows and all kinds of birds are eating them. We got squash out the garden the other day; it sure was good; no pesticides at all. Beans are blooming and the corn is getting tall. Can't wait for some good old corn. Have a great day.
