Hello my fellow survivors: Today, I had a lady contact me about her daughter that was recently dx'ed with CML. She said that they were talked to about Sprycel first and now are discussing Gleevec. She first contacted me about where I go to see my doctor as that is where they've been directed to go. I didn't know the doctor her daughter is seeing, she said he was fairly new. She then asked me about how I've done with the Gleevec. So, I told her my journey. I then suggested she contact this group here because, I told her, since I joined this group about 5 months after my dx'es back in January of '04, ya'll have given me more help than any doctor ever did. She said that they are fighting their insurance right now over the cost of the drug. I do hope she contacts & joins the group. Her name was Connie
