My name is Marty and I suppose that I am probably one of the longest survivors of having CML. I had a bone marrow transplant more then 24 years ago and am here to try and help people go through CML and try to live their lives. There is only one person that has survived longer then I. His name is Skip and I believe he is on his 36 year with having CML. So what does this tell you? CML is a survivable disease. There has been so much improvement with all of these new drugs (called TKI's) then when I had to go through it. I know that there will finally be a cure for CML, it is just a matter of time which should come soon. Now just to let you know. Whenever I end an email I always end it with two numbers.
