Congrats to the young man. If all is going well that's okay. Sometimes we have to nudge the Dr. to see if he would consider lowering the dosage or trying to go without Gleevec. Some doctors don't change if everything appears normal. I found things did get better for 7 years, all side effects decreased or became only irritations. Yes my counts remained visible but remained low. I never had a blast phase and that was a big plus for decreasing the dose. I hope he enjoys college and gets the grades.
