Wow! Gleevec hit me with every thing it had. So many side effects even boil like sores, eye bleeds and etc. Some of you know what I am talking about. I took 400 mgs for 5 years and then it just quit on me. I am going into my 10th month on Ponatinib; seem to be doing well. I still have my side pain and it's worse than ever! They can't find out what is causing it. I wish my WBC would come back down to normal; that is the only thing that won't come down it seems except for some of the minerals in my blood. It's wonderful that you didn't have much in the way of side effects. I feel lucky that 6 1/2 yrs on Gleevec for me haven't been too bad. But fatigue and chemo brain are problematic.
