Peter,
This is like comparing apples and oranges, but when my husband was on Sprycel
his primary physician prescribed lipitor. Next trip he made to Dr Talpaz (CML
specialist) he was taken off lipitor and put on crestor. He didn’t have any
problems with either….until he had pleural effusion. He was taken off Sprycel
and Crestor. He is now on Bosulif, and doing well without a statin. Sometimes
I think drs are too quick to make us think we need a statin. Just my opinion.
We are both taking CoQ10 and a good quality fish oil and both of our
cholesterol counts are down. Still eating gravy and potatoes, too. Just my 2
cents worth.
