Hi Jeanie. I had a similar problem a few years ago. Left hand was tingling, the pinkie and the one next to it were almost numb. I saw a neurologist and he said, the nerve leading to those two fingers runs around the outside of the elbow. If you have a habit of leaning on your elbow, then the nerve gets squished, causing the numbness in the pinkie and the one next to it. He said, I should stop leaning on the elbow or else he would have to surgically relocate the nerve. Since then, I have avoided leaning on it and the problem gradually went away.
